Senior MEP Estimator to support Renewable Energy Projects.

About the Role

n

n
- Budgeting of renewable energy EPC project including Indicative Price
n
- Compile comprehensive project estimates by factoring in labour and material expenses, subcontractor quotations, and overhead costs
n
- Collaborate seamlessly with diverse departments to accumulate essential data for building estimates while ensuring an all-encompassing understanding of the project
n
- Conduct comprehensive quantity take-offs and cost computations based on project schematics and specifications
n
- Evaluate and facilitate negotiations with multiple vendors and subcontractors to ensure both competitive pricing and quality
n




- Coordinate effectively with project managers, cost controllers, planners, and engineers to review and finalise estimates
n
- Continuously monitor project expenditures and update estimates as necessary throughout the project lifecycle
n
- Prepare and deliver estimates to clients, effectively addressing any queries or concerns they may have Relevant Technical Knowledge relating to Product Specifications
n
- Maintain and manage comprehensive documentation and records of estimates, ensuring their accuracy and completeness
n
- Solid analytical and mathematical skills to evaluate and analyse data, trends, and variables influencing project costs
n
- Proficiency in tracking actual project costs against estimates and identifying discrepancies to make necessary adjustments
n
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all project cost components are accurately accounted for in estimates
n

About You

n

n
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or similar
n
- Experience 5+ years to support bid/tender phase
n
- Experience in Renewable Energy, Gas, BESS projects
n
- Strong background in MEP or balance of plant (BoP) estimating within heavy industrial, power generation, or resource sectors
n
- Understanding of both complex mechanical piping (gas/cooling) and high-voltage grid connections or battery substation layouts.
n
- Experience in an EPC environment managing project design scope, schedule, and budget
n
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
n
- Work well under pressure
n
- Collaboration skill in multi-disciplinary organisation
