Service Technician | Global Industrial Business | Immediate Start

Join an established industrial equipment business in a practical, customer-facing field service role.

n

This is not a workshop-only position or a pure installation job. You will attend customer sites, diagnose equipment issues, complete mechanical repairs and maintenance, and accurately document the work performed.

n

Based near Loganholme, you will primarily service customers across Brisbane and surrounding areas, and infrequent interstate travel.

n

What you'll be doing:

n

n
- Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot industrial extraction and filtration systems
n
- Complete mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance and minor ducting modifications
n
- Support occasional equipment installation and commissioning work
n
- Use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment and technical manuals
n
- Explain findings, repair options and recommendations to customers
n
- Record labour hours, parts used and completed work in service reports
n
- Make supplier enquiries and update quoting and asset-management systems
n
- Organise your own service schedule and respond when priorities change
n
- Work with contractors and internal team members on larger or higher-risk jobs
n
- Follow SWMS, isolation procedures and site-safety requirements at all times
n

About you:

n

n
- You are a practical, safety-focused technician or tradesperson who enjoys fault-finding and working directly with customers.
n
- You may come from mechanical fitting, automotive, fabrication, machining, industrial maintenance, pumps, compressors, HVAC, materials handling, access equipment, manufacturing maintenance or another hands-on technical background.
n

You will bring:

- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and a logical diagnostic approach
n
- Confidence using hand and power tools
n
- Experience repairing and maintaining equipment or machinery
n
- Basic electrical and control-system awareness
n
- Sound judgement around isolation and when electrical work must be escalated
n
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
n
- Clear customer communication and professional presentation
n
- Robust written English and accurate service-reporting skills
n
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel capability
n
- Flexibility to move between servicing, repairs, administration and installation support
n
- A valid Australian driver's licence
n

A White Card, Working at Heights, Working with Children Check and EWP licence will be well regarded.Some tickets may be arranged for an otherwise solid candidate. A forklift licence is desirable but not essential.
