Hotel Handyman / Maintenance

n Employment Type: Casual 3-5 shifts per week

About the Role

n

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Hotel Handyman / Maintenance to join our team. You will play a key role in ensuring our hotel is well-maintained, safe, and presented to the highest standard for our guests. If you're practical, proactive, and enjoy solving problems, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Carry out general maintenance and repair work throughout the hotel.
n
- Perform routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
n
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
n
- Complete basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, tiling, and electrical repairs (within qualifications).
n
- Maintain air conditioning, lighting, doors, locks, and other building fixtures.
n
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to minimise equipment downtime.
n
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
n
- Coordinate with external contractors when specialist repairs are required.

- Keep maintenance records and report any major issues to management.
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Previous experience in building maintenance, hotel maintenance, or a similar handyman role.
n
- Practical knowledge of general repairs including plumbing, painting, carpentry, and minor electrical work.
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
n
- Friendly, professional attitude with excellent customer service skills.
n
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift and carry equipment.
n
- A current driver's licence (preferred).
n

Pay: $25.17 – $47.37 per hour
