About the role
n
We are looking for an experienced Orthopaedic Scrub/Scout to join our team at Calvary North Adelaide Hospital as a Clinical Nurse Level 2 role. This role will be 0.8fte, permanent part-time (4 days per week).
n
At Calvary North Adelaide Hospital (CNAH), our operating theatre suite features:
n
n
- 7 Operating Theatres and 3 Procedural Rooms
n
- Our specialties include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Obstetrics, Bariatrics, General Surgery, Urology, ENT, Oro-Maxillofacial, Plastics, and Ophthalmology
n
- Caring for both Adult and Paediatric surgical patients
n
n
Our theatres operate over a 6-day rotating roster (Mon-Sat) with early and late shifts - No Night Shift required. After hours emergency theatres are supported by our On-call roster with an experienced nursing team.
n
Your main duties as the Clinical Nurse - Orthopaedics will include:
n
n
- Represent and lead the orthopaedic scrub/scout specialty at CNAH
n
- Coordinate orthopaedic lists and ensure all necessary equipment is available
n
- Communicate with internal and external key stakeholders
n
- Relieve in the Shift Coordinator role
n
- Educate staff in the orthopaedic specialty
n
n
About you
n
n
- AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
n
- Theatre robotic experience is highly desirable
n
- Minimum 3+ years clinical experience in Orthopaedic Scrub Scout role
n
- Previous Clinical Nurse experience is highly desirable
n
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
n
- Passion for staff education
n
n
