Greenmountain Food Processing is seeking a capable and accountable Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at our Coominya beef processing facility.

n

This is a senior operational leadership role with direct influence over plant reliability, production performance, safety, compliance and cost.

n

Mandatory Requirements

n

To be considered for this role, you must have:

n

n
- Current unrestricted Australian work rights
n
- Current Driver's Licence
n
- Minimum five years' experience managing maintenance teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment
n
- Strong mechanical engineering aptitude and technical understanding
n
- Proven experience leading supervisors and multidisciplinary trade teams
n
- Strong CMMS experience across preventive maintenance, work orders, asset history, spare parts and reporting
n
- Experience managing maintenance in a multi-shift or 24/7 operation
n
- Strong knowledge of contractor management, permits, isolation and lockout/tagout systems
n
- Ability to support urgent breakdown escalation outside normal hours when required
n
- Robust leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills
n

n

A formal management or trade qualification is desirable but not mandatory where the applicant can demonstrate substantial maintenance leadership experience and strong technical capability.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the maintenance function at Greenmountain's Coominya site.

n





The facility is a large, fast-paced beef processing operation incorporating complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, boiler, rendering and production equipment.

n

You will lead maintenance supervisors who coordinate a team of approximately 10 to 20 fitters, mechanics and electricians.

n

This is primarily a leadership and coordination role rather than a hands-on trades position.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Lead the site maintenance function and provide direction to maintenance supervisors
n
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce breakdowns and plant downtime
n
- Strengthen preventive and planned maintenance systems
n
- Coordinate breakdown response and maintenance priorities
n
- Manage maintenance KPIs, including downtime, preventive maintenance completion, recurring faults, response times, costs and staff performance
n
- Ensure effective use of the site CMMS
n
- Manage maintenance budgets, contractor expenditure, spare parts and project costs within scope
n
- Oversee contractors, permits, isolation and lockout/tagout requirements
n
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action for recurring failures
n
- Manage capital projects, plant upgrades and engineering improvements
n
- Ensure compliance with WHS, food safety, hygiene and statutory requirements
n




- Work closely with Production, WHS, Quality Assurance, contractors and senior management
n
- Balance plant uptime, safety, compliance, quality and cost
n

Greenmountain uses MEX. Strong experience with MEX or another comparable CMMS is required.
