ABI Civil Contracting NSW is a progressive Australian civil contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across NSW and ACT.

Our projects span transport infrastructure, bridges, utilities, renewable energy, high voltage substations, data centres, defence, and major commercial developments.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Foreperson to join our delivery team.

n

The Chance

n

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating on site activities within your assigned responsibility and section of works.

n

The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate previous experience operating as a Senior Foreperson and the ability to lead construction activities, manage project interfaces and deliver outcomes safely, efficiently, and commercially.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Coordinate daily onsite construction activities across allocated sections of works.
n
- Assist the Project Manager and Engineering team with programme implementation and delivery.
n
- Supervise and direct site personnel, subcontractors, plant, and material resources.
n
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements.
n
- Promote and maintain safe work practices in compliance with company procedures.
n




- Monitor productivity and assist in achieving project milestones and targets.
n
- Assist in planning short- and long-term work activities to ensure efficient delivery outcomes.
n

About You

n

n
- Minimum 4-8 years' experience in a similar civil construction supervisory role.
n
- Strong organisational and communications skills
n
- Proven ability to manage and lead people effectively.
n
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, plant, and labour resources.
n
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and programmes.
n
- Commitment to WHS, productivity and quality outcomes
n
- Demonstrated experience across a broad range of civil engineering disciplines including but not limited to:
n
- Detailed and bulk excavations
n
- FRP structures
n
- Retaining walls and acoustic walls
n
- Experience across roads, bridges, rail, utilities, renewable energy, substations, data centres, defence, or commercial civil projects will be highly regarded.
n
- A Certificate III or IV in Construction would be looked upon favourably.
n
