We're recruiting on behalf of one of Queensland's leading animal welfare organisations for a Senior Veterinary Nurse to join their busy Domestic Hospital in Wacol.

n

This is a hands-on clinical role where you'll work alongside an experienced veterinary team, support complex medical and surgical cases, mentor junior nurses and help deliver exceptional patient care every day.

n

The Role

n

You'll play a key role in supporting the clinical team while remaining hands-on with patient care.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

- Medical, surgical and emergency nursing.
n
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting surgical procedures.
n
- Nursing hospital and critical care patients.
n
- Assisting with diagnostics and emergency triage.
n
- Supporting veterinarians with complex medical cases.
n




- Mentoring junior veterinary nurses and trainees.
n
- Maintaining high clinical standards across the hospital.
n
- Working collaboratively with the wider veterinary and animal care teams.
n

About You

n

You're passionate about nursing and enjoy being the person others turn to for support and guidance.

n

We're looking for someone with:

n

n
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
n
- Strong medical and surgical nursing experience.
n
- Confidence with anaesthesia monitoring and patient care.
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
n
- A collaborative, positive approach.
n
- A genuine passion for animal welfare.
n
