Job Description

Boomdell Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Truck Driver (HC) for a full-time position to join our team based in Penrith, NSW. We are engaged in the civil construction industry and as a Truck Driver (HC), you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining heavy commercial vehicles whilst ensuring timely delivery of plant, equipment and material to our project sites.

What you'll be doing

- Operating heavy commercial vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with all road and workplace safety regulations
n
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in safe working condition
n
- Performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues or defects to management
n
- Loading and unloading cargo, ensuring loads are properly secured and distributed
n
- Planning and executing routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements
n
- Maintaining accurate records of driving hours, fuel consumption, maintenance and delivery documentation
n
- Communicating effectively with management regarding delivery status and any issues encountered
n




- Adhering strictly to fatigue management regulations and road safety laws
n
- Maintaining a professional demeanour and representing Boomdell Pty Ltd positively in all interactions
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- A current and valid Heavy Commercial (HC) driver's licence with a clean driving record
n
- White Card (General Construction Induction Card) required
n
- Proven experience operating heavy commercial vehicles in road transport
n
- Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance and pre-trip inspection procedures
n
- Strong understanding of fatigue management laws and road safety regulations
n
- Ability to read and interpret maps, delivery instructions and documentation accurately
n
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules consistently
n
- Physical fitness and ability to safely load and unload cargo
n
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
n
- A professional attitude with a commitment to safety and reliability
n
- Preferably, experience with vehicle logbooks and telematics systems
