Job Description
An experienced Customs Broker is sought to join a well-established Brisbane freight forwarding operation as part of a close-knit Customs team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a respected position, taking over from a long-serving broker who is retiring after decades with the business.
n
Working alongside another licensed broker and supported by an experienced operations team, you'll take ownership of a genuine Customs Broker role focused on providing advice, ensuring compliance and managing customs clearances - not simply processing entries.
n
With approximately 100 entries per week across a diverse range of commodities, you'll enjoy exposure to imports from China, Europe and the USA while working in a business that values quality over volume.

Key Responsibilities
n

- Prepare and lodge import declarations
n
- Process Tariff Advice (TA) and Tariff Concession (TC) applications
n
- Provide customs advice to internal stakeholders and clients
n
- Ensure compliance with Australian Border Force regulations
n
- Assist in mentoring and sharing knowledge within the Customs team
n
- Work collaboratively with Operations to ensure efficient cargo clearance
n

About You

You'll also bring:

- Current Australian Customs Broker License
n
- Robust knowledge of tariff classifications and Australian Customs legislation
n
- Confidence in providing advice to clients and internal stakeholders on customs compliance and import requirements
n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
n
