Challenging role for an ambitious Project Engineer with the confidence to step in, work through issues, and keep a project moving.

n

This role is site-based. Not head office, not remote support.

n

Our Client is based in Brisbane but they need you to be happy to work on projects in regional areas in Qld and NSW.

n

Rosters vary from project to project, but they are typically 5/2 or 10/4.

n

You'll Be

n

n
- Part of the project team delivering the work, not sitting back reviewing it;
n
- Working alongside supervisors, engineers and project managers, making sure what's planned actually happens on site;
n
- Across planning, cost, programme, quality and subcontractors. One minute you're reviewing drawings and methodology, the next dealing with variations, tracking costs or solving something that's holding the job up;
n
- Expected to think, make calls and take ownership.

What makes you a great fit (but don't stress if you don't tick every box)

n

n
- A Civil Engineering degree;
n




- Minimum of 3 years of experience on project sites, not just office exposure;
n
- Ability to read drawings and understand how they translate on site;
n
- Comfortable dealing with supervisors, subcontractors and different personalities;
n
- Solid understanding of cost, programme and how projects run
n
- Willingness to be site-based and move with the work (QLD / NSW projects)
n
- Someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do
n

Nice To Have (but Not Essential)

n

n
- Exposure to TMR and RMS projects would put you above other applications;
n
- Experience with cost tracking, variations and project reporting;
n
- Solid working knowledge of planning tools like MS Project or P6;
n
- Honed commercial awareness, understanding that delivery, cost and time all matter;
n
- Experience working on live, fast-moving project environments.
