We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established, values-driven not-for-profit aged care organisation in Melbourne's inner east, one that's been quietly getting on with the business of caring for the community for decades, and now needs a Payroll Officer who takes just as much pride in getting things right as they do.

The role
n
You'll be part of a close-knit payroll team, keeping a large, complex payroll running accurately and on time, every cycle, no exceptions. Think processing transactions, maintaining airtight employee records, chasing down the odd dodgy timesheet, and being the calm, reliable voice when someone's got a question about their payslip. It's detail-heavy work that genuinely matters, get it wrong and someone doesn't get paid properly, get it right (which you will) and nobody even notices, which is exactly the point.

What you bring
n
1-2 years' payroll experience in a medium-to-large organisation
n
Comfortable in a payroll or HRIS system, this isn't your first rodeo
n
A genuinely obsessive eye for detail and accuracy
n
Solid grasp of core payroll principles
n
Communication skills that make employees feel heard, not processed
n
A healthy respect for confidentiality, because payroll data is not for gossip
n
Confidence in Microsoft Office
n
Experience in aged care or the broader community services sector
n
Working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, Awards and Certified Agreements
n
