Canex has an opportunity for 10 Casual Kitchenhand/Cooks to work in Rockhampton & Surrounding Regions, Queensland

Responsibilities

n

n
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation
n
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
n
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and food prep areas
n
- Dispose of rubbish and recycling appropriately
n
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
n
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
n
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods
n

Requirements

- Ready and able to work long shifts (11+ hours a day)
n
- Be flexible in your approach to work
n
- A outstanding attitude with your work
n
- Be neat in tidy
n
- Be able to work alone or part of a team. You will be required to work an average of 30 hours per week. The term of work will be from August 2026 to August 2027
n
- You will be paid either under the Hospitality Industry (General) Award [MA000009],



General Retail Industry Award [MA000004] or the Restaurant Industry Award [MA000119] - The work will range in pay from an ordinary rate of Introductory, Levels 1 to 4 - $33.05/hr up to $36+/hr
n
- Working hours will vary from anywhere from 6am to 11pm, 7 days per week.
n
- Overtime rates will be paid where applicable
n
- Upskilling & additional allowances may also be paid if you were trained in extra tasks.
n
- Applicants must have two recent professional referees with a contact phone number provided.
