Prefab1 is a growing Victorian modular construction company delivering innovative commercial building solutions across Victoria and Queensland.

n

Fromengineering and design through to in-house steel fabrication, modular manufacturing, logistics and site installation, we manage more of the construction process under one roof. As our project pipeline continues to grow, we're looking for a Contract Administrator / Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in delivering projects successfully.

The Chance

n

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys more than paperwork.

n

Working closely with our Project Managers, Operationsand Construction Managers,you'll take responsibility for thecommercial administration, technical coordination and project controls that keep projects moving.

n

You'll be involved in everything fromcontracts, variations and progress claims through to RFIs, procurement, engineering coordination, subcontractors and project close-out.

n

You'll also spend a little time on site and in our Seaford operations, giving you genuine exposure to how modular projects are designed, manufactured and delivered.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Manage day-to-day contract administration across allocated projects
n
- Prepare and track variations, progress claims, RFIs and EOTs
n
- Assist with project cost control, forecasting and reporting
n
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project stakeholders
n
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation
n
- Coordinate engineering, design, procurement, manufacturing and site requirements
n
- Monitor project programmes, procurement and long-lead items
n




- Maintain project documentation and workflows throughProcore
n
- Support quality, compliance and project close-out requirements
n
- Identify commercial, technical and programme risks before they become problems
n
- Work closely with Project Managers, Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing and Finance
n

About You

n

You'll be a commercially minded construction professional who is organised, proactive and confident taking ownership.

n

You may come from a Contract Administrator, Project Engineer, Project Coordinator or similar background and ideally have 4–5+ years' experience in commercial construction.

n

We're particularly interested in people with experience in:

n

n
- Commercial construction or modular/prefabricated construction
n
- Contract administration and subcontractor management
n
- Variations, claims, RFIs and project cost control
n
- Construction drawings and technical documentation
n
- Procore or similar construction management platforms
n
- Structural steel, manufacturing or offsite construction
n
- Australian Standards and construction contracts
n

n

Most importantly, you'll be someone who spots issues early, follows things through and gets things done.
