About the Firm

My client is a modern and growing accounting firm located in brand-new offices in Brisbane’s Eastern suburbs.

They are now looking for an experienced and motivated Bookkeeper to join their team and take responsibility for providing high-quality bookkeeping services to a portfolio of clients.

About the Role

This is a hands-on bookkeeping position suited to someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy and enjoys building strong relationships with clients.





You will work closely with the accounting team and clients, managing a variety of day-to-day bookkeeping functions and ensuring financial records are maintained accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities will include:

- End-to-end bookkeeping for a range of clients
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Preparing and maintaining financial reports
- Payroll processing and related bookkeeping tasks
- Preparing BAS and IAS information where required
- Managing and reconciling accounts
- Assisting clients with day-to-day bookkeeping queries
- Working with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar
- Identifying discrepancies and ensuring records are accurate
- Liaising directly with clients and providing professional bookkeeping support
- Working closely with accountants to ensure clients’ financial requirements are met

What They're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have previous bookkeeping experience and be confident managing bookkeeping responsibilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

You will ideally have:

- Previous experience working as a Bookkeeper




- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and processes
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting software
- Payroll experience
- BAS preparation experience would be highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- A proactive, reliable and professional approach
- A genuine commitment to providing excellent service to clients
