Casual Baker and Decorator - Altona North

The Cupcake Queens have amazing opportunities for experienced Bakers to join our dynamic (and fun!) baking team in the production of cupcakes supplying to our extensive Retail network.

n

This role is based at our bakery in Altona North.

n

We require a number of experienced bakers and decorators for shifts between 12pm and 11pm daily.

n

We have genuine flexibility with days and hours - in your cover letter please clearly state what availability you have.

n

Your duties will include:

n

Operating commercial mixing machines and equipment

n

Load and unload cupcakes and cakes into commercial baking oven

n

Ice and decorate cupcakes by hand using a piping bag

n

Operate commercial depositor and icing machines.

n

Complete quality assurance checks on orders and shop stock

n

Ensure all food preparation areas and bakery equipment is clean

n

To be successful in this role you will need to be a positive, friendly, proactive person, who is all about baking and icing the best cupcakes possible! In addition, you will need to have:

Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position.

n

An ability to hand pipe and be proficient in using a piping bag efficiently

n





Minimum 1 year experience in baking OR kitchen environment

n

Pastry and / or Chef qualifications are preferred BUT not essential

n

The ability to work in a fast paced team environment

n

Willingness to support other team members in a close knit setting

n

Sound knowledge of all aspects of food safety and hygiene

n
