MBI Engineering is a proudly Australian, family-owned business offering industrial electricians varied, hands-on work across electrical engineering, switchboard manufacturing, systems integration, automation and fabrication.

Based in Walla Walla, just 20 minutes from Albury-Wodonga, we design, build, install and commission custom electrical systems for mining, industrial, manufacturing and agricultural clients.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced Industrial Electrician to join our team.
n
About the Role
n
This is a diverse, hands-on role that combines workshop manufacturing with onsite installation, commissioning and maintenance. No two weeks are the same.
n
You'll be involved in a broad range of projects, including:
n
n
- PLC control systems
n
- Switchboards and control panels
n
- Industrial power distribution
n
- Mining infrastructure
n
- Site installation, commissioning and maintenance
n
- Fault finding, upgrades and preventative maintenance
n
n

Key Responsibilities
n
As part of our team, you will:
n
n
- Install, maintain,
fault-find and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
n
- Construct, wire, test and commission switchboards, MCCs, control panels and PLC-based systems.
n
- Install and terminate power, control, instrumentation cabling, conduit, cable tray and support systems.
n
- Read electrical schematics and engineering drawings to deliver accurate, high-quality work.
n
- Work closely with engineers and project teams through FAT, commissioning and client handovers.
n
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
n
n
We're looking for someone who brings more than just technical ability.
n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- Current NSW Electrical Supervisor Licence.
n
- Demonstrated industrial electrical experience.
n
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
n
- Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, motor control, automation, instrumentation or switchboard construction.
n
- A current White Card and unrestricted driver's licence.
n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
n
n

Additional Information
n
Applicants must:

- Have unrestricted Australian working rights.
n
- Hold a current driver's licence.
n
- Successfully complete a Police Check.
n

This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday. Overtime, occasional weekend work and some travel will be required from time to time. Accommodation and meals are provided when working away from home.
n
