About the role
n
Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our Cath Lab. This position will be employed on a casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope's Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater's commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.

- Undertaking Coronary Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemakers, Embolisation, Percutaneous Vascular Intervention, and Cardiac Electrophysiology procedures in Scout, Scrub and Monitor capacity.
n
- Delivery of exceptional patient care, demonstrating a level of skill in clinical decision making and hands-on care
n
- Deliver appropriate and accurate application of clinical assessment procedures to evaluate medical health status to identify and apply timely care intervention for best patient outcomes
n
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
n
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
n
- Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team workplace
n

About you
n
n
- Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
n
- Experience in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory
n
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential
n
- Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
n
- Effective communication and clinical problem solving skills to maximise patient care outcomes
n
- Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
n
- Proven ability to manage workflow, prioritise clinical activity, and support operational requirements
n
