Jacob Refrigeration is a well-established, family-run HVAC and refrigeration company servicing commercial buildings, schools, apartments, hospitality venues and community facilities throughout Melbourne.

Due to continued growth, we're looking for a fully qualified Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team, with an immediate start available.

n

This is a permanent, full-time position offering varied work, steady hours and the support needed to get each job done properly. You'll have the freedom to manage your own jobs while still having access to experienced technical and office support when required.

The Rolen

n
- Service, diagnose and repair commercial air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
n
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
n
- Install and commission split, ducted, VRF/VRV and commercial refrigeration systems
n
- Fault-find electrical, mechanical and refrigerant-related issues
n
- Complete leak testing, evacuation, refrigerant charging and commissioning
n
- Provide clear service notes, equipment readings and repair recommendations
n
- Communicate professionally with clients, builders, site supervisors and other trades
n
- Assist with supervising and mentoring apprentices where required
n
- Complete all work safely, efficiently and to a high standard
n

About Younn
- Certificate III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
n
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
n




- Current Restricted Electrical Worker's Licence
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Current Australian driver's licence
n
- Minimum 1–3 years' post-qualification experience
n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
- Experience across commercial air conditioning and refrigeration
n
- Able to work independently and take ownership of jobs
n
- Reliable, organised and professional with customers
n
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
n
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
n
