We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Power BI Reporting Lead for 12 months period for maternity leave cover to play a key role in designing, developing, governing, and delivering enterprise reporting solutions across our organisation. This is an exciting prospect to lead reporting initiatives within a Microsoft ecosystem, leveraging Power BI, Dynamics 365 (D365), Financial Reporter (FR), and Microsoft Fabric to provide meaningful business insights and support strategic decision-making.

Reporting to key business stakeholders, you will work closely with Finance & Accounting, Sales, Planning & Analysis, and Service teams to understand reporting requirements and translate them into effective, scalable, and governed reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities
n
Design and deliver enterprise Power BI reporting solutions aligned with business requirements and strategic objectives.
n
Define and maintain reporting governance standards, including naming conventions, security models, data definitions, and quality controls.
n
Partner with business stakeholders to analyse operational and financial data and identify reporting and analytics opportunities.
n
Translate business requirements into functional and technical reporting specifications aligned with D365 data structures and reporting frameworks.
n
Develop and maintain a business glossary and data definitions repository to ensure consistent use of metrics, KPIs, and reporting terminology.
n
Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards or coordinate development activities through internal teams and external vendors.
n
Contribute to Microsoft Fabric architecture, data modelling, and analytics initiatives.
n
Lead UAT planning and execution, including test scenario development, business validation, issue management, and sign-off processes.
n
Manage reporting defects and enhancement requests through to resolution.
n
Oversee report deployment activities and ensure compliance with established release and governance processes.
n
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement for published Power BI reports.
n
Monitor data integrity, governance compliance, risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the reporting lifecycle.

Key Performance Criteria
n
Advanced Power BI development experience, including dashboard design, data modelling, DAX, and report optimisation.
n
Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) reporting and data structures.
n
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, data warehousing, or modern analytics platforms.
n
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and broader Microsoft technologies.
n
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex business data and transform it into actionable insights.
n
Experience managing UAT processes, quality assurance, and production deployments.
n
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
n
Strong project management, organisation, and prioritisation abilities.
n
Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
n
