Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a motivated and career-focused Structures Aeroskills Apprentice to join our Maintenance Team at RAAF Base Amberley.
n
This is a unique opportunity for individuals who have already completed the theory component of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) and are looking to gain the practical workplace experience required to complete their qualification while working on the Australian Defence Force's fleet of F/A-18F Super Hornet, C-17 Globemaster and E-7 Wedgetail aircraft.

Working alongside experienced aviation maintenance professionals, you will develop the technical skills, discipline and experience required to build a long-term career in military aviation maintenance.

About the Role
n
As an Aeroskills Apprentice, you will undertake structured workplace training and practical experience across a range of aircraft maintenance environments while completing the practical requirements of your apprenticeship.
n
You will be exposed to:
n
n
- Scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance
n
- Aircraft inspections and servicing
n
- Component removal, installation and testing
n
- Fault diagnosis and rectification
n
- Technical documentation and maintenance recording
n
- Airworthiness, safety and quality management systems
n
- Team-based maintenance operations supporting aircraft availability and mission readiness.
n
n
This role provides exposure to some of the most advanced aerospace technologies operating in Australia today.
n

Qualifications
n
n
- Have successfully completed the theory component of a Certificate IV in Aeroskills
n
- Be seeking to complete the workplace practical experience requirements associated with their qualificationBe an Australian Citizen
n
n
Security Clearance
n
n
- Be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance (Boeing Defence Australia will sponsor the security clearance process for successful candidates.)
n
n
Skills Assessment
n
n
- Successfully complete the Basic Key Skills Builder (BKSB) Assessment as part of the recruitment process
n
n
Other Requirements

- Meet Defence access requirements
n
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening requirements
n
- Demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality and professionalism
n
- Be willing to work within a highly regulated aviation maintenance environment
n
