Newcastle Private is currently seeking experienced environmental services and cleaning professionals to join our agile team in a casual opportunity.

n

We are searching for team members experienced in a high level of cleaning, preferably with hospital or similar experience to work across a rotating 7-day roster including mornings, evenings and nights.

n

Successful applicants may also be able to pick up or be trained for further work in the Food Services Department.

n

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to:

n

Provide high standard of cleaning services

n

Operate in line with infection control standards and WHS policy & procedures

n

Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients

n

Act in accordance with all manual handling protocols

n

Assisting the wider hospital teams to ensure patient satisfaction is always achieved

n

Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope's policies and processes, code of conduct and by participating in yearly performance appraisals and mandatory education.

n

Maintain skills and standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.

n

Supports Healthscope's safety and quality improvement in all aspects of safety including Work Health & Safety

What you'll need to succeed

n

Demonstrated experience as cleaner or infectious cleaning specialist in a hospital, aged care or medical setting

n

Have enthusiasm, drive and passion to prepare and maintain an appropriate work area to the highest standard of excellence

n

Good communication and customer service skills

n

Attention to detail

n

Be able to commit to the flexibility of working Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster including afternoon, evening and occasional night shifts.

Newcastle Private Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.
