A well-established family-owned business, located in the Northern Suburbs, is currently looking for an experienced, skilled full time Senior Fitter & Turner to keep production running smoothly. This hands‐on role involves maintaining and repairing on‐site machinery, responding to breakdowns, and supporting the team with preventative maintenance. The role is a rotating roster with morning and afternoon shifts.

Responsibilities

- Respond quickly to equipment and machinery breakdowns to reduce downtime
n
- Carry out preventative maintenance across a range of plant and machinery
n
- Diagnose mechanical faults and decide on the best repair solution
n
- Repair and replace components, including rebuilding production equipment
n
- Complete scheduled machinery inspections and raise maintenance requests
n




- Identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement across site maintenance
n
- Maintain all safety standards in line with established workplace requirements
n

Skills and Experience

n

Ideally, you will have Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker trade qualifications and 10‐15 years experience in a similar role. You take pride in delivering quality work, enjoy fixing problems, and will work well as part of a close-knit dedicated maintenance team of six.

Other Skills

n

n
- Experience with welding (TIG, MIG and ARC)
n
- Background in manufacturing or concrete production preferred
n
- Team player who stays calm when things get busy
n
- Team leadership or supervisory skills desirable
n
- Able to think quickly and juggle tasks as priorities change
n
