We are seeking an energetic APS6 Senior Industry Engagement & External Affairs Officer to join their team. Working under general direction, you will deliver operational support across stakeholder relationship management, sector monitoring, and executive communications. You will serve as a key touchpoint for industry bodies, delivery partners, and peak organisations, ensuring our strategic engagement plan is executed seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

n

Serve as a primary operational contact for key industry bodies, peak organisations, and delivery partners, ensuring engagement activities are accurately logged and aligned with strategic priorities

n

Coordinate the operational and logistical delivery of industry forums, executive roundtables, and policy briefings, including input collation and follow-up tracking

n

Track policy, economic, and legislative developments across the public and corporate landscape, drafting concise background briefings and intelligence updates for leadership

n

Draft high-quality written briefings, background notes, talking points,



and routine correspondence to support senior management engagements

n

Key Requirements:

n

5-7 years' experience in external affairs, stakeholder engagement, public policy, or corporate communications (preferably within public sector or industry peak body environments)

n

Demonstrated capability in drafting clear, well-structured briefings, executive correspondence, and external communications under tight timeframes

n

- Ability to work in a quick paced environment and work autonomously
n

n

Strong understanding of the broader Australian public policy, financial, or regulatory setting.

n

Excellent time-management and coordination skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities concurrently

n

Relevant tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, public policy, or equivalent practical experience

n
