About the Role
The Business Analyst/Project Manager is responsible for the end to end delivery of projects as well as the analysis, design, and implementation of IT solutions across COSOL and client environments. You'll combine project leadership, planning, governance, budget, and risk management, with hands on business analysis including requirements gathering, stakeholder liaison, and solution documentation. This role is all about making sure projects land on time, within scope and budget, and that what's delivered genuinely meets business needs.
What You'll Do
Project Leadership & Delivery
- Lead end to end project delivery, from planning through to closure
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
- Ensure compliance with governance processes, contractual obligations, and quality standards
- Apply best practice project management methodologies and tools
- Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies with clear mitigation strategies
- Monitor project budgets and ensure resources are allocated effectively
- Facilitate regular reporting, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communication
- Coordinate and lead project teams, including internal resources, clients, and vendors
- Maintain positive client relationships through clear communication and regular status updates

What You'll Do

Business Analysis & Requirements
- Analyse and document existing solutions and business processes
- Interview client functional experts to understand current processes and recent requirements
- Formalise and agree project scope with client Project Managers and stakeholders
- Define and document detailed requirements suitable for handover to technical developers
Solution Delivery & Testing
- Support technical developers through the design and development process
- Coordinate task allocation with the development team and remove roadblocks
- Act as the interface between business users and the technical team
- Manage and/or conduct functional testing
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing with external stakeholders
- Manage deployment of solutions across environments
Support, Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Manage the transition from go live to support team handover
- Develop full technical and functional documentation for ongoing support
- Manage the full lifecycle of BAU production issues and enhancements
- Ensure documentation, lessons learned, and handover materials are audit ready
- Support continuous improvement of project and analysis best practices
- Support the bid process for new opportunities as required
What You'll Bring
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project management and/or business analysis, ideally within technology, data/BI, or consulting sectors
- A proven track record of delivering complex projects within agreed scope, timelines, and budgets
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile)
- Familiarity with business analysis methodologies and tools
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multi disciplinary teams
- High level of organisational and analytical skills, with solid attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
Desirable
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related discipline
- Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, Agile Scrum Master)
- Experience in the transport vertical or other asset intensive industries (mining, utilities, energy, infrastructure)
- Exposure to consultancy or client facing project delivery
- Financial management experience including budgeting, cost control, and reporting
