DBS Builders is seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer to join our team on a casual basis. This position is based in Kyabram, VIC 3620 and offers flexible work opportunities for individuals looking to gain experience in the building and construction industry. As a Laborer, you will play a vital role in supporting our construction projects, ensuring sites are safe, organised and efficient. This is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to develop their skills in a hands-on environment whilst contributing to quality building outcomes.

Key responsibilities

n

- Preparing and maintaining construction sites, including clearing debris and ensuring work areas are safe and tidy
n
- Assisting tradespeople with loading, unloading and transporting materials and equipment
n
- Digging, moving and compacting soil and other materials as required for construction tasks
n
- Mixing concrete, mortar and other building materials to specified requirements
n
- Erecting and dismantling temporary structures, scaffolding and safety barriers under supervision
n
- Assisting with general construction tasks such as demolition, site preparation and finishing work
n
- Maintaining and cleaning tools and equipment
n
- Following all health and safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective equipment at all times
n
- Supporting the construction team to meet project deadlines and quality standards
n

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour tasks consistently throughout the day
n




- Reliability and a strong work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and attendance
n
- A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople and supervisors
n
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites
n
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
n
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards work
n
- Previous construction or labouring experience is advantageous but not essential
n
- A current or willingness to obtain a White Card (General Construction Induction Card) is preferred
n
- A valid driver's licence is desirable for site access and material transportation
n
