Job Description

A dermatology-only clinic in Melbourne's north-western suburbs is looking for an experienced vet nurse to join their small, friendly team. This is a combined nursing and reception role, offering genuine variety across your working week.

Duties include consult nursing, surgical support, blood collection, sedation preparation, client education and owner training in at-home treatment protocols. You'll also be involved in inventory management, medication ordering and maintaining a clean and well‐organised clinic environment. Reception duties form part of the role, including managing calls, bookings and front‐of‐house responsibilities, so strong communication skills and a confident, organised manner are significant.

Shifts are all between the hours of 8:30 am and 6:30 pm Monday to Thursday, with no weekend or after‐hours work required.

The clinic sees complex, long‐term cases,



and you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients and their pets over time. This is a sole‐charge environment, so the ability to work independently and stay calm under pressure is essential. The clinic is focused on finding the right long‐term fit and is not in a rush to hire.

This role suits a nurse with at least one year of clinical experience. The position is available on a full-time or part‐time basis, and salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.
