We are seeking an experienced and motivated Qualified Painter to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of projects while contributing to the delivery of quality finishes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Prepare work areas by setting up ladders, scaffolding, protective coverings, and masking materials.
n
- Inspect and prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, filling cracks and holes, sealing, and priming before painting.
n
- Select suitable paints, coatings, stains, and finishes according to project requirements.
n
- Mix and tint paints to achieve the required colour and finish.
n
- Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
n
- Complete painting work on interior and exterior surfaces of residential, commercial, and multi-residential buildings.
n
- Install wallpaper and decorative wall coverings where required.
n
- Protect surrounding fixtures, fittings, and surfaces throughout the painting process.
n
- Carry out minor repairs to timber and other surfaces before painting.
n
- Inspect completed work and perform touch-ups to ensure a high-quality finish.
n
- Clean, maintain, and store painting tools, equipment, and materials.
n
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment.
n




- Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, builders, subcontractors, and clients to complete projects efficiently.
n
- Assist with colour matching and maintenance painting as required.
n
- Perform minor glazing or window repair work where necessary.
n

About You

The successful applicant will have:

Qualifications

n

n
- A recognised trade qualification in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification.
n

n

Experience

n

n
- A minimum of three years' experience working as a Painter in residential, commercial, or construction projects.
n

n

Skills and Attributes

n

- Strong knowledge of painting methods, coatings, and surface preparation.
n
- Experience using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and associated painting tools.
n
- Ability to produce high-quality finishes with excellent attention to detail.
n
- Good colour matching and paint mixing skills.
n
- Ability to interpret work instructions and project specifications.
n
- Robust organisational and time management skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
n

- Reliable, punctual, and professional with a strong work ethic.
