Job Description

This is a full-time on-site position for a Senior Accountant based in Newcastle, NSW. The Senior Accountant will directly support directors, managers and clients to:

- Prepare compliance work for a broad client base (Including financial reports, tax returns, BAS and payroll tax)
n
- Assist the manager and director with advisory work
n
- Attend to tax matters, including GST, CGT, FBT and Div7a
n
- Ensure all compliance reporting deadlines are met
n
- Coach junior staff, including reviewing their work
n

n

Qualifications

n

n
- 5+ years' experience in a business services firm
n
- Commenced or completed CA/CPA
n
- Completed a commerce/accounting/finance degree or similar
n
- Excellent technical knowledge across all relevant legislation
n
- Experience with Xero accounting software is required
n
- Committed to delivering an exceptional client experience
n
- Experience in coaching, managing and inspiring others
n
- Proven flexible, adaptable and creative problem-solver
n
- Professional, friendly and down to earth
n
- Great communicator and team player
n
- Australian work rights are required for this position
