Bob White Electrix is a dynamic and expanding rotating machines service business. Our major goal is to provide industry with a comprehensive national service offering for the repair and maintenance of high and low voltage electric motors and generators.

We have an opportunity for a trades assistant who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking. Our service facility is located in Geelong, Victoria and may require local or remote work where required.

n

Reporting to the workshop supervisor, key areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:

n

Assist tradesman in disassemble, wash and clean motors for initial inspection

n

Ability to use basic mechanical measuring tools & equipment

n

Assist tradesman with general fitting and assembly work

n

Preparation of components and machines for dispatch

n

Safe use of workshop equipment with attention to higher risk tasks such as operating forklifts, overhead and gantry cranes, pressure equipment, hydraulic presses

n





Preparing and painting of completed works

n

Pickup and delivery of parts

n

Ensure safe working procedures and practices are always followed

n

Ability to undertake your duties on client sites (both local & remote) and also in a workshop environment.

n

To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications and experience.

n

Mechanically minded and genuinely interested in the industrial services industry

n

Dedicated to always working in a protected manner

n

Ability to follow company policy, procedures and training regimes

n

Ability to travel to site when required

n

Driver's licenseand Forklift License an advantage
