Please note this is an in office trade based role. This is not a desk/computer based role and requires you to work on construction sites and in existing apartment buildings daily.

DigiSat Technology Australia Pty Ltd is a well-established and quality focused Telecommunications Company in the greater Sydney area with an outstanding level of customer service and workmanship. We specialise in MATV / SMATV system installations and maintenance, Fibre Optics and Data Network installations and certifications.

Due to a constantly growing workload, we are looking for an enthusiastic & hardworking technician who is ready to hit the ground running for installations and service/repair of existing residential unit buildings and commercial properties.

n

The position is suitable for an experienced technician capable & confident enough to work on MATV/SMATV/IPTV/Fibre TV systems on roofs & in roof spaces with an attention to detail. Please note this is an 'on-site' role, where the majority of your days will be spent either at construction sites or unit complexes undertaking physical installation, maintenance and repair of MATV/SMATV/IPTV systems.

Main Duties

n

n
- Examine plans, specifications and work areas to determine the location and connection requirements for telecommunications equipment.
n
- Install, configure, test and commission MATV, SMATV, IPTV and other telecommunications and data transmission systems.
n
- Install, terminate and test data and fibre-optic cabling, connectors and related equipment.
n
- Install, service and maintain television antennas, satellite dishes, distribution equipment and telecommunications devices.
n
- Use electronic testing instruments to test signal strength, connectivity and system performance.
n
- Diagnose and locate faults in telecommunications and audiovisual systems.
n
- Adjust,



replace and repair faulty telecommunications equipment, cables and system components.
n
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on telecommunications systems.
n
- Provide technical assistance to clients and explain the operation of installed equipment.
n
- Prepare installation records, test results and service reports.
n
- Follow work health and safety requirements when working on construction sites, roofs and within roof spaces.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

n

What we require from you:

- - NSW Drivers License
n
- - General Construction Induction Card (white card)
n
- - Working at Heights Certification
n
- - Advanced Diploma of Telecommunications Network Engineering or equivalent
n
- - Professional, reliable, trustworthy and punctual
n
- - Attention to detail with a neat & tidy work ethic
n
- - Friendly and respectful attitude towards customers and work colleagues
n
- - No criminal history (Police Check is required)
n
- - Experience with MATV/SMATV/IPTV/Fibre TV systems (12 month minimum)
n
- - Ability to work autonomously on site, troubleshoot and make required repairs and report accordingly
n
- - Some weekend and on-call work will be required from time to time
n

- - Standard working days are Monday to Friday

- - Standard 38hr week, if more hours are required these will either be paid or you can take time off

- - Salary range $75,000-$85,000

Please note this is a Sydney based position and only those already located in Sydney with legal authorisation to work unrestricted hours in Australia need apply. Probation periods to apply.
