Chocolate Destinations Group is recruiting for an experienced, capable, hands‑on Café Manager at our stunning Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie & Ice Creamery.

This Chocolaterie is one of three in the Chocolate Destinations Group established in 2012 in regional locations across Victoria, with additional sites in planning.Set on 15 acres of landscaped gardens and orchards, 10 minutes from Torquay on the spectacular Surf Coast, this unique tourism and hospitality venue has been carefully designed for locals, domestic and international visitors to enjoy year-round.

Our focus on customer service, high-quality standards,amazing festivals, a retail product range (all made on site) and vibrant all day café, make locals and travellers alike keen to return time and time again.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Business Management or similar plus at least 1 year's relevant experience.

Your Role

As Manager, you will oversee the operations of the Café and Ice-Creamery by effectively motivating and supervising the team across shifts, each of whom are the welcoming,



hospitality face of our business for our visitors.

You will ensure we maintain high quality standards, manage presentation of both the Café and our menu items and ensure we comply with OH&S; and food safety regulations.

This role requires you bring a practical and hands on approach to leading the Cafe Department, seeing to it that the Cafe team is working well and harmoniously with each other and all other Departments, having fun while doing an amazing job delivering on our passion for creating awesome customer experiences. It is action packed, rapid-paced and gives you the ability to grow in the role alongside our leadership team.

The 300-seat Café is open 7 days per week from 9am to 5pm, offering casual all day dining with fresh and delicious food. The Café is a critical component to the customer experience when visiting our stunning retail showroom, showcasing over 400 different chocolate products, couverture chocolate production on-site, and of course our Café and in-house ice creamery.

You will need an eye for detail and a commitment to exceptional customer service. You will be well organised, able to manage rosters and have the ability to supervise, motivate & continue to develop a team of up to 25.

This is a permanent full-time position. Excellent remuneration for the right candidate.

Previous experience in hospitality and team management is a requirement. You must have competent computer skills, superior attention to detail and a willingness to train, motivate and drive your team.

This full-time position working 5 days per week including most weekends and public holidays.
