THE TRUSTEE FOR SAF HOSPITALITY TRUST Lazy Moes Caroline Springs seeks an experienced Cook to work on a rotating basis within a fast-paced environment and alongside our Chef[s]. A positive attitude with a robust work ethic and good communication skills Ability to work well within a team environment and under pressure Be available to work days, nights and weekends and have your own reliable transport.

Task & responsibilities

n

n
- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality
n
- Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
n
- Preparing and cooking food
n
- Seasoning food during cooking
n
- Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
n
- Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
n
- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements




n
- May plan menus and estimate food requirements
n
- May train other kitchen staff and apprentices
n

n

Qualification & experience

n

n
- AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
n
- At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
n
- At least one year of relevant experience required for any sponsorship opportunities
n
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment
