SNS Migration & Education Services is a growing migration and education consultancy located in Sydney CBD.
n
We are seeking a motivated, professional and detail-oriented Migration Agent Assistant to provide administrative and case-support services to our Registered Migration Agents.
n
This position is suitable for someone passionate about migration, international education and client service who wants to build a long-term career in the industry.
n
About the Role
n
You will work under the direction and supervision of our Registered Migration Agents, assisting with client-file administration, document collection, draft forms, skills-assessment matters and general office operations.
n
This is an administrative support position. The successful candidate will not independently provide immigration assistance, migration advice or legal advice unless separately authorised to do so under Australian law.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Migration Agent, you will:
n
n
- Collect, organise and maintain documents for visa and skills-assessment matters.
n
- Conduct initial administrative client intake and record factual information.
n
- Create and maintain client files, file notes, checklists and compliance records.
n
- Enter client-provided information into draft forms for review and approval by the supervising Registered Migration Agent.
n
- Provide administrative assistance with Form 956, service agreements, authority forms, statement of services and related documents.
n
- Prepare draft correspondence using approved templates and instructions.
n
- Follow up with clients regarding outstanding information and documents.
n
- Communicate administrative updates and information approved by the Registered Migration Agent.
n
- Schedule consultations, appointments and follow-up activities.
n
- Monitor deadlines and bring important dates to the Registered Migration Agent's attention.
n
- Undertake internal administrative research as directed, without providing findings or migration advice directly to clients.
n
- Liaise with clients, education providers and internal team members on administrative matters.
n
- Maintain accurate records in the company's client-management and document-management systems.
n
- Prepare spreadsheets, reports and operational data using Microsoft Excel.
n
- Protect confidential client information and comply with privacy, record-keeping and company procedures.
n
- Refer all questions about visa options, eligibility, migration strategy, application risks and prospects of success to a Registered Migration Agent.
n
- Perform other reasonable administrative and operational duties.
n
n
All substantive immigration assistance, recommendations, representations and final application decisions will be provided or approved by a Registered Migration Agent.
n
Professional and Regulatory Boundaries
n
Unless separately registered or legally authorised, the successful candidate must not:
n
n
- Provide immigration or legal advice.
n
- Recommend a visa type or migration pathway.
n
- Assess a person's visa eligibility or prospects of success.
n
- Interpret migration legislation, regulations or policy for a client.
n
- Independently prepare, finalise, approve or lodge a visa application.
n
- Make representations to the Department of Home Affairs or another authority as a migration agent.
n
- Quote or charge professional fees for immigration assistance.
n
- Represent themselves as a Registered Migration Agent.
n
- Use another person's Migration Agent Registration Number as their own.
n
- Provide substantive answers to migration-related enquiries without approval from the supervising Registered Migration Agent.

About You
n
The successful candidate will have:
n
n
- A minimum of one year's experience in migration, international education, legal services, administration or a related professional environment.
n
- Robust attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
n
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
n
- The ability to handle confidential and sensitive client information professionally.
n
- Strong computer, file-management and document-management skills.
n
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, data management and analysis.
n
- The ability to follow instructions and work within clearly defined professional boundaries.
n
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
n
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
n
- A commitment to accuracy, ethical conduct and professional client service.
n
- A desire to grow with the company over the long term.
n
- Valid Australian working rights.
n
n
Previous migration or international education experience will be highly regarded.
