ABOUT THE ROLE

n

The General Manager will take full responsibility for the operational, commercial and financial performance of the business.
n Leading a national management team, you will oversee operations, sales, finance and business development while ensuring the organisation continues to achieve its strategic growth objectives. This is a broad executive leadership role requiring someone equally comfortable developing long-term strategy, leading people and making commercial decisions that improve business performance.
n You will also play a key role in maintaining strong client relationships, driving accountability across the leadership team and fostering a high-performance culture built around continuous improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the overall operational,



commercial and financial performance of the business.

- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to achieve sustainable national growth.

- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing executive leadership team.

- Drive accountability through clear KPIs, performance management and coaching.

- Oversee budgeting, financial performance, cashflow and profitability.
n
- Monitor business performance through reporting, analytics and operational metrics.
n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key national clients and stakeholders.
n
- Chair leadership meetings and present business performance to the Board.
n
- Champion a positive, values-driven culture across the organisation.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and operational efficiency.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

- Demonstrated success leading multi-site or national operations in a General Manager, COO or equivalent executive leadership role.
n
- Robust commercial acumen with proven experience driving growth, profitability and business performance.
n
- Experience leading multidisciplinary leadership teams across operations, finance and sales.
n
- Highly developed strategic planning and business improvement capability.
n
- Exceptional leadership, coaching and people development skills.
n
- Strong financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
n
- Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to build trusted client relationships.
n
- A collaborative, hands-on leadership style with a genuine passion for developing people.
