The Kidston Pumped Storage Hydro Project is Australia's first pumped hydro development in more than 40 years and will become the nation's third-largest electricity storage facility. Delivered by the McConnell Dowell and John Holland Joint Venture, this landmark renewable energy project is helping shape Australia's clean energy future.

About the role

n

We're looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our Commissioning Team as we transition the project from construction into operational readiness.

n

Working alongside commissioning engineers, supervisors and multidisciplinary teams, you'll be involved in mechanical testing, troubleshooting and the commissioning of major plant and rotating equipment. This is a unique opportunity to gain experience on one of Australia's most significant renewable energy infrastructure projects while building your career with McConnell Dowell.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Perform mechanical commissioning activities on plant and equipment.
n
- Inspect, test and troubleshoot mechanical systems and rotating equipment.
n
- Complete mechanical adjustments and rectification works during commissioning.
n
- Maintain accurate commissioning records and documentation.
n
- Work safely and collaboratively to achieve commissioning milestones.
n

What will you bring?

n

n
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
n
- Previous commissioning experience within power generation or oil & gas plants is desirable.
n
- Experience working with turbines,



rotating equipment or large industrial mechanical systems is highly regarded.
n
- Current White Card, valid driver's licence and Australian work rights, with the ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
n
