Job Description
Overview
n
State Health & Fitness Manager at PCYC NSW, responsible for leading health and fitness operations across a state-wide gym network, implementing the Fit, Active and Connected Strategy, and delivering high-quality fitness experiences for young people and communities across NSW.
n
Responsibilities
n
n
- Lead the execution of the PCYC Fit, Active and Connected Strategy across all relevant clubs.
n
- Translate strategic goals into operational plans, KPIs, and performance frameworks.
n
- Develop and maintain membership products, youth offerings, and group fitness programming.
n
- Establish and maintain state-wide gym standards, including amenities, equipment, and programming.
n
- Manage rollout of CRM systems, digital sign-up tools, and member engagement platforms.
n
- Build relationships with schools, health providers, and sporting organisations.
n
- Oversee gym audits, performance benchmarking, and continuous improvement.
n
- Design and deliver training programs for gym staff, instructors, and coordinators.
n
- Collaborate with marketing to position PCYC as a trusted fitness brand.
n
- Work with Regional Operations Managers to support and mentor Club Managers.
n
- Ensure integration of fitness services with PCYC's broader youth and community programs.
n
- Ensure compliance with PCYC policies, health & safety requirements, and child protection obligations.
n

Qualifications
n
n
- A strong alignment with PCYC NSW's values: Respect, Community, Integrity, Commitment, and Resilience.

- Qualifications in fitness, health promotion, or business management.
n
- Certificate IV in Fitness (essential).
n
- Proven experience in multi-site fitness operations leadership.
n
- Strong understanding of the Australian fitness market and emerging trends.
n
- Demonstrated success in program design, staff development, and member engagement.
n
- Experience with CRM systems, digital fitness tools, and performance analytics.
n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
n
- Current Working With Children Check.
n
- Willingness to travel across NSW as required.
n

We have sixty-six clubs and eighteen OOSH services across NSW, with a vision for significant growth.
