We are seeking a compassionate Female Disability Support Worker to provide assistance and care to an individual with a disability in Wagga Wagga that needs assistance with personal care and daily living.

The Role

n

n
- Shift Structure: 5 hours per week - Tuesday 09:30am-11:30am, Wednesday 11:15-2:15pm.
n
- Environment: Personal care/ Daily living support
n
- Type: This could be a casual role or as a contractor.
n
- Rate: L2 P1 - $45.28 Cert 3 in individual supports or community service
n
- L2 P2 - $46.70 Cert 4 or higher in individual supports or community service
n

Responsibilities:

n

n
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
n
- Provide emotional support and companionship to our client, fostering a positive and encouraging workplace.
n




- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to create and implement individualized care plans.
n
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health to the appropriate personnel.
n
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support.
n
- Personal care and physically fit to perform manual handling where required.
n

Ability tomaintainaccuratedocumentation and reporting.

Qualifications

n

n
- Previous experience in a support worker role or similar position.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with our client and their family.
n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adapt to changing situations.
n
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
n
