Job Description

Primo Foods are seeking a Trade Assistant to join the Maintenance/Facilities team in Wacol, Brisbane. This is a permanent full-time position with plenty of opportunity to learn and grow within the Engineering department. This role is responsible for efficient and compliant operation of our production facility.

This role offers an prospect to choose the roster that works for you:

n

- 5 days a week from Tuesday to Saturday, 7.6 hour shifts
n
- 4 days a week from Wednesday to Saturday, 9.6 hour shifts
n

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform general housekeeping of plant, equipment, buildings, structures, and surrounds
n
- Undertake preventative tasks for basic maintenance of air filtration equipment
n
- Facility roof space inspections and diagnose root causes of service leaks
n
- Communicate facility issues to the Operations Support Manager/Engineering Manager
n
- Maintaining chemical inventory for cooling towers
n
- Undertake compliance activities such as inspecting wall panels, emergency safety showers, fire hydrant valve rotations etc.

What You'll Bring

n

- Ability to safely use hand and power tools
n
- Sound skills in problem solving, diagnostics and systems
n
- Proactive and positive attitude with a strong willingness to learn
n
- Experience in maintenance/repair in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial wastewater plant environment (preferred)
n
- Current Forklift Licence or willingness to obtain (desirable)
n
