Job Description

We are seeking a detail-driven and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the day-to‐day financial operations of a purpose‐led Australian brand, while developing your accounting career in a collaborative and values‐driven environment. You will gain hands‐on experience across key accounting functions, working closely with a supportive team and playing an integral role in maintaining financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Support month‐end and year‐end close processes
n
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries
n
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations
n
- Assist with quarterly BAS preparation and compliance
n
- Support accounts payable, receivable and payroll processes
n
- Maintain accurate financial records to support audit and reporting requirements
n
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ad hoc projects
n

About You

n

n




- 1–3 years' experience in a similar accounting or finance role
n
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (or currently studying)
n
- Strong proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
n
- High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
n
- Well‐organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
n
- Clear and qualified communication skills
n
- A proactive team player with a mindset for continuous improvement
n
- Exposure to ERP systems
n
- Interest in financial analysis and reporting
n
- A willingness to take initiative and grow within the business
n
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
n
