Mechanical Office Assistant/Workshop Support

APPS Mechanical Repairs - Port Macquarie

We're looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our busy mechanical workshop.

n

This is a varied role combining office duties, customer service and light workshop duties as required. It would suit someone with positive mechanical knowledge, or a qualified mechanic who is ready to slow down on the tools and move into a mainly office-based role.

n

The role may include:

n

Answering phones and booking in jobs

n

Speaking with customers and keeping them updated

n

Preparing invoices and completing general office duties

n

Assisting with vehicle registration checks (if you are a qualified mechanic & an AIS examiner)

n

Helping the team wherever needed to keep the day running smoothly

n

Light workshop duties (moving cars, assisting mechanics when needed, general tidying)

n

Parts ordering

n

What we're looking for:

n

Mechanical knowledge or experience in the automotive industry

n

Qualified mechanic (a bonus, but not essential)

n

Drivers License

n

Is hardworking and takes pride in doing a good job

n





Genuinely cares about customers and their vehicles

n

Treats customers and other team members with respect

n

Is honest, dependable and turns up ready to work

n

Has a positive attitude and is willing to help wherever needed

n

Can stay organised in a busy workshop environment

n

Has good communication skills and basic computer skills

n

A qualified mechanic would be highly regarded, particularly someone looking to step away from heavy mechanical work while still using their knowledge and experience.
