The Property Officer (Asset Planning & Maintenance) will support CENSW in the development of its 10-Year Asset Maintenance Plan across its property portfolio.
n
This project-based role will analyse property inspection data, identify maintenance and renewal requirements, estimate future costs, and assist in developing long-term maintenance forecasts. The role will work closely with housing co-operatives, the Property Team, and other stakeholders to ensure maintenance planning is informed, accurate, and aligned with organisational priorities.

Key Responsibilities
n
Asset Maintenance Planning
n
Analyse property condition reports, inspection data and maintenance records.
n
Identify maintenance, repair and replacement requirements across the property portfolio.
n
Assist in the preparation of long-term maintenance forecasts and budgets.
n
Contribute to the development of CENSW's 10-Year Asset Maintenance Plan.
n
Support the improvement of asset management processes, systems and records.
n
Stakeholder Engagement
n
Meet with housing co-operatives to discuss maintenance needs and priorities.
n
Liaise with contractors, consultants and other stakeholders as required.
n
Support co-operatives to understand and plan for future maintenance requirements.
n
Technical Support
n
Assess building components and identify required repairs and maintenance works.
n
Review inspection reports and maintenance recommendations.
n
Prepare indicative cost estimates for maintenance and renewal works.
n
Provide occasional support to the Property Team in coordinating maintenance works and repairs, including liaising with contractors and following up on work progress.
n
Support the Property Manager and Property Team with property-related projects and maintenance activities.
n
Experience in property, construction, building maintenance, asset management, facilities management or a related field.
n
Demonstrated experience analysing property or asset data.
n
Ability to identify maintenance and renewal requirements and estimate associated costs.
n
Robust analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
n
Current Driver Licence.
n
Qualification in building, construction, property, asset management or a related discipline.
n
Experience in community housing, social housing or residential property.
n
Experience preparing asset maintenance plans, capital works programs or long-term maintenance forecasts.
n

To support the completion of a comprehensive 10-Year Asset Maintenance Plan that provides reliable maintenance forecasts, asset renewal schedules and budget information to support future investment and maintenance decisions across the CENSW property portfolio.
