Job Description
Are you an experienced fabricator or tradesperson who takes pride in building high-quality custom displays, exhibition stands, event structures, and bespoke cabinetry components?

We're looking for a talented Lead Fabricator to join our team at Expo Centric. This role is perfect for someone with a background in exhibition set‐building, shopfitting, cabinetry, joinery, carpentry, or custom fabrication who enjoys leading hands‐on production work in a varied and fast‐paced workshop setting.

What You'll Do
n
n
- Lead workshop fabrication and assembly of custom exhibition stands, displays, event structures, and bespoke cabinetry components.
n
- Interpret production drawings and translate them into high-quality finished products.
n
- Fabricate with materials such as MDF, laminate board, ply, and other production materials.
n
- Coordinate with the CNC Operator on work orders and production requirements.
n
- Supervise workshop staff, including CNC Operators and Assistants, by allocating daily tasks and monitoring output.
n
- Maintain quality standards through in‐process checks and final inspections before handover.
n
- Manage stock levels, material handling, storage, and re‐ordering requirements.
n
- Ensure safe operation of factory machinery and maintain machinery maintenance schedules.
n
- Operate a forklift and assist with loading, unloading, pick‐ups, deliveries, and warehouse duties where required.
n
- Support on‐site work as needed and contribute to better, more efficient production processes.
n
- Follow WHS requirements, company SWMS, PPE standards, and site safety procedures.
n

What You Bring
n
n
- Proven experience in fabrication, custom exhibition builds, set‐building, cabinetry, carpentry, shopfitting, joinery, or similar.
n
- Trade background is essential.
n
- Ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and the build process.
n
- Experience using a range of tools and factory machinery.
n
- Strong leadership, communication, organisation, and time management skills.
n
- Ability to work with Production Staff, Account Managers, suppliers, and materials companies.
n
- Ability to work within tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
n
- Own tools.
n
- Forklift ticket is desirable but not essential.
n
- A proactive mindset with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
