We have an exciting prospect for a reliable Support Worker with a "can do" attitude to assist a male with a spinal cord injury in the Tamworth area.

You are reliable with good work ethic and understand the importance of providing care with dignity and respect. You are self-motivated, calm, and looking to make an invaluable positive impact on the lives of others.

About the Role:

n

You will be working closely with our member in their own home and in the community, providing care and supports which include:

n

n
- Personal care – bathing, dressing, grooming (including bowel care and catheter care)
n
- Manual Handling (hoist and car transfers)
n
- Assistance in the community (appointments and errands)
n
- Domestic tasks (cleaning and laundry)
n
- Meal preparation
n
- Monthly inactive sleepovers as required
n

n

Commitment to this role is essential!

n





Current shifts on offer but not limited to:

n

n
- Monday and Wednesday: 6:00am – 10:00am
n
- Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm
n
- Monday, Friday and Sunday: 8.00pm – 10.00pm
n
- Flexibility is a must
n
- Covering shifts for staff absences
n

n

Requirements:

n

n
- You must have the right to live and work in Australia
n
- A National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
n
- Drivers License & Own vehicle
n

n

Anyone living locally with experience supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries would be considered highly desirable, however, reliable and compassionate applicants with a genuine interest are encouraged to apply.
