Early Childhood Educator - Casual / Part-Time

About Campus Kindergarten
n
Campus Kindergarten is a community based, not-for-profit organisation that operates an early childhood education and care (ECEC) long day care service, operating from 7:50am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. Campus Kindy operate with additional staff to ratio supporting quality program and practice.
n
Established in 1971 and highly regarded within the community, Campus Kindy is located on the grounds of the University of Queensland. Campus Kindy is known for its high-quality programs and beautiful surroundings, giving a homely feeling to all. All programs are delivered by Bachelor qualified teachers.

The role
n
We are seeking an experienced, passionate and professional educator who can work either casual or part-time, with the possibility to pick up other shifts as well. If the right applicant is found, permanent part-time may be offered. Unfortunately, as a not-for-profit centre, we are unable to provide sponsorship.
n

Suitable applicants will have:
n
Certificate III or Diploma of Children Services
n
A current First Aid Certificate (including asthma, anaphylaxis and CPR)
n
A current Blue Card
n
Knowledge of ELYF,
QKLG and NQF
n
Excellent communication and presentation skills
n
Ability to work as a team
n
A positive, friendly and can-do attitude
n
Responsibilities
n
To work in accordance with all Campus Kindergarten and The Gowrie (Qld) policies, procedures and National Quality Standard.
n
Engage in the centre's collaborative approach to planning, documentation and evaluation of high-quality early childhood programs.
n
Work in partnership with teachers and educators to support the provision of high-quality programs.
n
Develop a warm, responsive and genuine relationships with all children and families.
n
Actively participate in staff meetings, career development opportunities and centre events as required.
n
An ability to collaboratively implement a program to ensure the needs of individual children, including children with additional needs are met.
n
Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
n
An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment including the importance of supervisory responsibilities.
n
Actively work to support a positive team environment based on trust, respect and honesty.
n
Support a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement.
n
Engage in inclusive practices supporting the belonging and participation of all children.
n
