Located just minutes from Melbourne Airport, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business in a pivotal finance role supporting the Directors and wider operations team.

The Opportunity

n

Reporting directly to the Directors, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day finance function while working closely with the Operations Manager and administration team.

n

You'll work alongside experienced administration professionals across the business, however this role has a explicit and dedicated finance focus,



making you an important member of the team responsible for maintaining the smooth running of the company's financial operations.

n

Initially, this is an office-based position (five days per week), allowing you to develop solid working relationships with the team and gain a thorough understanding of the business, its people and its systems.

n

As the business continues to grow, you'll also have the prospect to contribute ideas and help improve and streamline finance processes to support future growth.

Your Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage the day-to-day finance function using MYOB.
n
- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
n
- Complete bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
n
- Prepare and assist with BAS submissions.
n
- Liaise with the ATO and external accountants.
n
- Support month-end and End of Financial Year (EOFY) processes.
n
- Maintain financial records and ensure compliance with company procedures.
n
- Provide finance administration support to the Directors.
n
- Assist with reporting and general finance administration.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve, streamline and modernise finance processes.
n




- Work collaboratively with the Operations Manager and wider administration team.
n

About You

n

You'll be someone who enjoys working in a collaborative SME environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, reliable financial support.

n

You'll ideally bring:

n

n
- Previous experience as a Finance & Accounts Officer, Senior Accounts Officer, Bookkeeper or similar.
n
- Strong MYOB experience.
n
- Solid Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience.
n
- Experience preparing BAS and supporting month-end and EOFY processes.
n
- Confidence liaising with external accountants and the ATO.
n
- Excellent organisational skills and a high level of accuracy.
n
- A proactive approach with the confidence to identify opportunities for process improvement.
n
- Previous experience within an SME environment will be highly regarded.
n
