WYNCO Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Civil Structures Leading Hand to join an established contractor delivering civil and marine infrastructure projects across North Brisbane.

n

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with strong experience across formwork, reinforcement steel, structural concrete and set out. Working closely with the Site Supervisor, you'll lead a small crew while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Offering consistent full-time hours, regular overtime and long-term opportunities, this is an excellent role for someone looking to join a well-established contractor with a strong pipeline of infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing

n

n
- Leading and coordinating a crew of 4-5 workers and subcontractors
n
- Supervising formwork installation and stripping
n
- Reading and interpreting structural drawings and specifications
n
- Completing accurate set-out for formwork and concrete works
n
- Installing and checking reinforcement steel, mesh, ligatures and starter bars
n
- Coordinating concrete pours, including preparation, placement, vibration and curing
n
- Completing concrete screeding, levelling, edging and finishing
n
- Checking levels, dimensions,



falls and tolerances throughout construction
n
- Ensuring formwork and reinforcement are inspected prior to concrete placement
n
- Maintaining productivity, quality and a strong safety culture on site
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Previous experience as a Leading Hand within civil structures, marine construction, structural concrete or civil infrastructure projects
n
- Strong hands-on experience with formwork, reinforcement steel and structural concrete
n
- Demonstrated experience completing accurate set-out using lasers, levels and measuring equipment
n
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications
n
- Robust understanding of concrete pour preparation and sequencing
n
- Proven ability to lead and motivate small construction crews
n
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
n
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Driver's Licence and reliable transport
n

Highly Regarded

n

n
- Experience delivering civil structures including culverts, headwalls, retaining structures, bridge works or marine infrastructure
n
- Carpentry or relevant trade qualification
n
- HR Licence
n
- First Aid Certificate
n
- Plant operating tickets
n
- Experience working on major civil infrastructure projects
n
