Applications will be reviewed against current and future project requirements of strong safety leaders who can build positive team cultures while maintaining high safety and operational standards in FIFO environments.

The Opportunity

n

As a WHS Advisor at AWCON, you will play a key role in supporting project teams across all aspects of health, safety, and compliance – working closely with operational leaders to maintain high safety standards in challenging FIFO environments.

What You'll Be Responsible For

n

n
- Supporting the implementation and continuous improvement of WHS systems and procedures
n
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, client requirements, and site safety standards
n
- Providing practical safety support and guidance to site teams
n
- Conducting inspections, audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
n
- Facilitating toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety meetings
n
- Assisting with hazard reporting, corrective actions, and risk management processes
n




- Promoting a proactive and positive safety culture across site operations
n
- Maintaining accurate safety records and compliance documentation
n
- Building strong working relationships with clients, supervisors, and crews
n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Previous experience in a WHS Advisor or similar safety-focused role
n
- Mining experience essential, with underground experience highly regarded
n
- Experience working within FIFO construction or mining environments
n
- Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, and site safety systems
n
- Strong communication skills with confidence delivering training, toolbox talks, and practical safety advice
n
- Minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent qualification
n
- Current Driver's Licence and ability to meet site mobilisation requirements
n
