Our client is a well-known national food manufacturer supplying a range of dairy products to major retailers across Australia. This is a newly created Quality Coordinator role that will report directly to the Quality Manager. This role is full-time and the working hours are 08:30am-5pm Monday-Friday. This role is casual to begin with but has permanent opportunities.

Duties
n

- Maintain and control quality documentation, ensuring records are accurate, compliant, and effectively filed within established systems.
n
- Coordinate and participate in internal audits, including GMP and PRP programs, and support continuous improvement activities.
n
- Assist with external audits and certification requirements, including Food Safety Excellence, Kosher, Halal, and regulatory inspections.
n
- Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), investigate quality issues, and drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
n
- Investigate customer complaints, liaising with internal teams to support root cause analysis and resolution.
n
- Develop and maintain HACCP documentation for new products, processes,
and extended shelf-life initiatives.
n
- Create, review, and implement quality forms, records, labels, and documentation used across the manufacturing floor.
n
- Conduct mock recalls, annual NIP reviews, and other food safety verification activities to ensure ongoing compliance and audit readiness.

Skills/experience
n
n
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science/ Microbiology or a related disciple
n
- QA experience working with a dairy manufacturer is very advantageous
n
- Previous QA experience in the food/ beverage industry is essential
n
- Solid knowledge of HACCP, GMP, PRPs, FFSE
n
- A self-starter with drive and enjoys being challenged
n
- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders in the business
