We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled full time Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, based inour busy workshop in Clayton VIC.

n

3rd or 4th year Apprentices are also invited to apply.

Reporting directly to the Workshop Foreman,



the successful candidate will work on a fleet of Heavy Waste vehicles.Tasks will involve but not be limited to the following:

n

n
- General mechanical works
n
- Welding
n
- Both major and minor repairs
n
- Carrying out breakdown repairs
n
- Scheduled maintenance
n

n

The successful applicant will possess:

n

n
- Trade certification in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical.
n
- A current rigid truck driver's license
n
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance & Occupational Health & Safety
n
- Good communication and organisational skills
n
- Experience in hydraulics, automotive electrics or welding is not essential, but would be an advantage, as would a forklift licence. Previous experience in a similar role would also be highly regarded.
n

A generous rate will be negotiated, depending on experience.

n

In accordance with our Company's recruitment process, all successful applicants will be required to undergo a Pre Employment Medical, which includes a drug test. A current driving history, with a good driving record will also need to be provided.
