Your Role

- Support the program aimed at reducing litter in the environment
n

- Base hourly rate is $30.75 plus 25% casual loading
n

The Return and Earn bottle recycling facility in Emu Plains is looking for a casual team member. This hands-on role involves receiving recyclable drink containers from customers, operating a semi-automated sorting machine and troubleshooting equipment issues when required. You will also use a point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately process sales/refunds, where attention to detail and integrity are essential. Strong customer service skills, the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, a solid work ethic and ability to perform well in a fast-paced workplace are key to success in this role.

On the job training in using specialised equipment will be provided. A current Forklift Licence is Desirable (Counter Balance).
Experience or knowledge of working within a factory environment is also desirable or someone who is willing to work on their feet for a set period of time.

Your Responsibility
n
n
- Provide excellent customer service
n
- Operate equipment used for bulk sorting of recyclable drink containers
n
- Use forklift to empty bins of sorted recyclable containers
n
- Operate point of sale system for accurate sales and refund transactions
n
- Assist in other activities i.e. housekeeping, maintenance of warehouse equipment, reporting faulty equipment needing repair, etc.
n

You Will Need
n
n
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service
n
- Experience in using forklifts and a current valid Forklift Licence
n
- Experience working within a warehouse and/or production environment
n
- Capacity to perform manual/physical tasks
n
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently
n
- Thorough understanding of work, health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.
n
